Publix Super Markets Charities and Publix Super Markets were honored to receive the 2016 Bob Thomas Star of Philanthropy Award on Friday, April 1, at the Annual Child Abuse Awareness Luncheon hosted by the Friends of Joshua House.
Located in Tampa, Florida, Joshua House is a safe haven for children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. The program’s five homes on 11 acres provide a nurturing environment for therapeutic residential group care. Siblings are kept together, and dedicated staff and volunteers give each child love, stability, and support.
Publix Charities extends heartfelt gratitude for this honor, and for the difference that this incredible organization continues to make in children’s lives.
